Great capture Gary! I have ine of these turtles and she's always tring to catch everything that passes by, even my fingers!

I saw scenes like this but never manage to capture one! Again, Great work!

Even without the bug - excellent work. Beautiful low angle and perspective to look at the turtle. The bug is surely a great bonus.

Might need a tiny rotation clock-wise.

Top marks, if only for the title.

I sat for hours keeping the turtle engaged in conversation, waiting for the mosquito to arrive. As the bug approached, I moved both the turtle and my camera into its flight path, waited until just the right moment, and took the shot!!

Of course it had to be you Patrick!!

In spite of my joking comment to Michelle, the mosquito was obviously not planned and I was pleased it came out as well as it did. I take bracketed exposures of three shots of almost every photo I shoot and the mosquito was only in one of the three exposures of this shot. I'd like to say it was planned but I was very surprised when I viewed all the shots I took of this turtle and saw one had this mosquito and consider it a very lucky bonus.
I'll try harder next time Patrick!!

gr8 work, you should expect someone to bring up the "bug should be sharper" comment, sure it was a lucky shot but well... the "bug should be sharper". lol

and it seems to be a bit of noise in bg specialy around the bug.
